Volunteer Opportunities
Get involved! Be a volunteer!!
There are many fun, worthwhile volunteer opportunities at our school. Many classrooms need parent volunteers for Sunshine Math, Character Education, Art Appreciation, Homeroom parent, and Where in the World. The PTA also needs help throughout the year in the AR Store, the book fair and with vision and hearing screenings. Remember you must have volunteer clearance through DCPS to volunteer at Loretto. Where in the World
Parents, if you are searching for some way to be involved with your child's school but you don't have a lot of time, then look no further.
Become a Where in the World volunteer. Most classes participate by completing a geography worksheet and our only responsibility is grading those papers. We meet as a group once a month during the school day, but if you aren't available then, you can grade a class at home. If you are interested please contact Gina Lacey at [email protected] and Tricia Murphy at [email protected]
Art Appreciation
The Art Appreciation Program can take as little as 30 minutes biweekly. You do not need a working knowledge of Art. The kids do most of the
talking and you just open their minds to the Art prints in front of them. Everything is done for you. If you would like to volunteer for this fun-filled program please let your child's teacher know.
Volunteers Needed in Art Room
Ms. Leon would love your help in the art room any day beginning at 2:15 pm.
Please contact Ms. Leon if you are interested: [email protected]
Media Center in Need of Volunteers
The media center is also in need of volunteers from 2:00pm until 3:00pm each day. If you are interested,
please contact Ms. Cramer at [email protected]
Thank you to all of our wonderful Loretto volunteers!
